Is History, As Henry Ford Said, Just Useless Bunk?
“History is bunk,” the brilliant auto engineer Henry Ford famously said. “The only history that is worth a tinker’s damn is the history we make today.”
Sadly, it is a prevailing view in America today, that history has nothing to teach us. Not coincidentally, Ford accepted an award from Hitler, expressed deep anti-semitism, and hired fascists.
