I’ve written that the US is overdue for a historic political realignment. We saw the beginning of that in 2020 when previously reliably Republican states Georgia and Arizona supported Joe Biden for President and are now represented by four Democratic senators. They reaffirmed that decision in the 2022 midterm elections, making truly historic change.
