Desecration of the American Flag from Left and Right: Legal, But How Offensive?

During an election for class officers during a middle school social studies class in 2020, just as the winners were announced, one student shouted “impeach them!” pranced up to the American flag, ripped it from its placeholder, and stomped on it.
