At the end of September, 30 US House races are still considered toss-ups. Of those 21 are now held by Democrats and nine are held by Republicans. This means that to hold the House, Democrats would have to win nearly all of their “toss-up” races AND flip seats held by Republicans, according to the Cook Political Report.
