Black History: Cultural Literacy Requires That We Know It
16-question-quiz on events, trends and people since the 1940s
To be culturally literate, many of us need to learn more about Black American History. It can’t all be consumed during February, Black History Month. Fortunately, there’s a free Crash Course series of 50 episodes on Youtube, just 10 to 15 minutes each, led by well-reviewed author Clint Smith.
I’ve composed 16 questions about Black History since the 1940s, with links to each Crash Course lecture for the answers. Below these questions are links to 45 more questions, and an embedded video of Dr. Smith’s introduction. Watch them all, and/or answer the questions correctly and you can probably consider yourself culturally literate on this subject.
