Assassination Attempt Helped Trump Win the Election
Destiny, fate, divine intervention are cited
Pennsylvania Democratic Senator John Fetterman said on CNN that Donald Trump’s shooting in Butler, PA and the support of Elon Musk were the major factors in the former president winning his state. Blue collar “bros” resonated to Trump’s fearlessness and to Musk’s visible grassroots presence in the state.
PA voters made pilgrimages to the spot where they believe a miracle occurred with Trump.
Fetterman wants Democrats to stop freaking out about the election result, “losing our minds every 15 minutes.” “Buckle up and pack a lunch. It’s going to be four years of this,” he told the NYT (free link). They should chill and stop telling working class people they aren’t smart enough to correctly perceive their own interests. “It’s condescending.” Stop using words like “oligarch.”
Several other analysts also believe the shooting was critical in changing and softening Trump’s image with voters.
